Initial Conference of the Erasmus+ Project "Youth IMPACT"

In January 2025, each organization in the Youth IMPACT project consortium held an Initial conference in its respective country. These conferences served as an introduction to the project, the commencement of activities, and as a source of motivation for young people and organizations working with youth to engage and participate in upcoming mobilities focused on non-formal education and skill development.

Each event in the partner countries presented a rich and varied program that captivated participants and offered valuable insights into key issues affecting young blind and visually impaired (VI) individuals.

One of the highlights was a roundtable/panel discussion featuring representatives from youth organizations, organizations working with blind and visually impaired people, key stakeholders, public institutions, and advocacy groups for the blind and visually impaired, as well as VI youth. The discussion centered on important topics such as inclusion, networking, and skill development, with a focus on fostering greater opportunities for VI youth.

Additionally, each conference showcased inspiring stories shared by young blind and visually impaired individuals, as well as youth organization representatives. These stories highlighted positive personal experiences and innovative initiatives, emphasizing the importance of resilience, community support, and empowerment.

The conferences concluded with a closing session that summarized the key takeaways and proposed actionable steps for future collaboration. This session provided a clear roadmap for ongoing involvement and activities within the project, ensuring that the momentum created during the event would continue to inspire positive change in the lives of young blind and visually impaired individuals.
