1st International Kick-off Meeting Held as Part of the Youth IMPACT Project
In the final session of the meeting, the partners agreed on the next steps for the coming semester, with a focus on conducting international research, preparing for the introductory conference, and organizing upcoming training sessions for experts from the partner organizations. The partners aligned on common deadlines to ensure the project’s implementation follows the contractual guidelines, with all activities taking place within the agreed timeframes and budget.
During the meeting, the Slovenian Association of the Blind and all partner organizations signed partnership agreements, committing to the successful and high-quality joint implementation of the project.
The next partnership meeting will be held in May 2025 via an online platform to monitor progress and determine the next steps for the following months.
From December 11 to 13, 2024, the Croatian Association of the Blind hosted the international Kick-off meeting in Zagreb to launch the new Erasmus+ project, Youth IMPACT – Youth Integration and Motivation for Positive Achievement and Capacity Transformation.
The meeting was attended by all partner organizations, including umbrella associations for people with visual impairments: the Croatian Association of the Blind, the Union of the Blind and Partially Sighted of Slovenia, the Union of the Blind of Montenegro, the Union of the Blind of Herceg Bosna – Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Research Center A&A EMPHASYS Interactive Solutions Limited from Cyprus.
Detailed discussions covered the project activities planned for the next two years, with a thorough review of deadlines, indicators, and reporting requirements. Each partner contributed actively to the discussion, offering ideas and suggestions for the optimal implementation of the planned activities. Key visibility elements, such as the creation of a logo, brochures, and a new project website, were also agreed upon.
A comprehensive overview of the financial management for the project was provided to the partners. A cost-monitoring table was established for each partner to ensure that expenditures align with the project budget.
The meeting was also attended by a representative from the European Commission, who acts as the project expert overseeing its implementation at the European level. She provided guidance and responded to queries related to her area of expertise, thereby supporting the project’s progress.
In the concluding session, the partners outlined the next steps for the upcoming semester, focusing on conducting international research, preparing for the introductory conference, and organizing forthcoming training sessions for experts from the partner organizations. The partners coordinated on common deadlines to ensure that the project's implementation adheres to the contractual guidelines, with all activities proceeding within the set timeframes and budget.
